Welcome to the Friends of Shevchenko Park Site!

Shevchenko Park is a small park located at Broad Street and Somerville Avenue and cared for by the Philadelphia Department of Recreation. Established in 1921, the park was named after Ukranian poet Taras Shevchenko.

Currently, the park is in desperate need of renovations and your help would be greatly appreciated. Please take some time to look around this site to learn more about Taras Shevchenko and the little park in North Philadelphia named in his honor.
